THE SPORTS GALA WITH THE THEME “JUST STAY STRONG” TOOK PLACE LIVELY
On the night of December 5th, 2020 at the PDV Multi-Function Sports Stadium, the Board of Directors and all SCC’s Grand family members had a joyful and meaningful Sports Gala night. The vibrant atmosphere filled the program with many awards.

The year-end cold air is starting to gently caress the branches of the Royal Poinciana trees along the beautiful concrete roads of PhoDong Village, and on the stage, there was a bright, bright-colored light with the words “Just Stay Strong”.

This year, with the theme “Just Stay Strong”, our SCC family’s Sports Gala Party has the meaning of improving health, especially in the Covid-19 epidemic, improving the spirit of sport for the whole employees as well as building and developing a spirit of cohesion and solidarity between member companies in particular and SCC in general. SCC Company and its member companies continue to organize the “Annual Sports Festival VI – SCC 2020” with the participation of all SCC employees and member companies, and the guest units/companies.
Attending the GALA, the grand family was extremely honored to welcome the presence of the Board of Directors of SCC, partner units, and contractors participating in the contest at the Sports Event 2020. With the presence of guests and more than 230 employees of the SCC family.
Especially for SCC’s Grand Family, there was the presence of Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong Thuy – former CEO of SCC Company in the period of 2013-2017, and respectable sister: Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong – founder and concurrently Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCC Company. Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong has just passed from halfway around the world through an arduous journey to return to join with brothers and sisters of the Grand Family in this Sports Festival 2020.

The solemn honor ceremony sent the strong spirit of sport
Theme “Just Stay Strong” of the program was a message sent by Mr. Tran Viet Anh to all of the SCC family members. In the situation of an unstable year with epidemics, natural disasters, floods … we need to train ourselves to have good health, protect ourselves and our loved ones and have the health to do volunteering which is useful to the community and society.

Although the program “Annual Sports Festival VI – SCC 2020” took place in a confusing situation, but received an enthusiastic response from all member companies and partner units, even in the Covid-19 translation, the number of subjects in this year’s Sports Festival was reduced with only 4 subjects: Men’s Football, Women’s Football, Athletics and Swimming, but still recorded the number of athletes registered to attend up to 180 people – much higher than expected. After a period of fierce and exciting competition, the Gala has found outstanding athletes with a high spirit of sport, who are the owners of prestigious awards in all competitions.

Honoring outstanding awards in competitive disciplines
In the 2020 Sports season with 4 carefully selected competitions, including Football – the indispensable king sport, Swimming – the perfect sport is loved by coaches and sports experts, the categories of Athletics also received special attention.
In addition to the short distance of 100 meters and 800 meters, this year Athletics has recorded the minimum distance of long-distance runs with double the distance from the previous year – 10 km, especially the first time SCC opened the 15-km-distance running. And the athletes have shown the spirit of competition in particular and the spirit of love in sports in general excellently.
The way Gala awards are also changed this time, in order to create excitement and strengthen the friendship of all members, so the awards are honored according to the individual and collective category in the subjects. Accordingly, in the excellent individual category, each group of athletes who won the title of Prize III, Prize II, Prize I of each subject went to the stage to receive medals and take souvenir photos.

The most exciting special award is to honor teams with outstanding achievements in the sport of King – Outstanding Male / Female Football Team Award 2020.

The female athletes of the PhoDong FC team did not disappoint the fans of the Grand Family when they won the Women’s Football Championship again, so SCC’s females have been holding the championship trophy for 4 consecutive years.
Mr. Tran Viet Anh and Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong presented the trophy to the male and female team that won the championship.
To increase the encouragement for athletes, members of the Board of Directors and partners also have incentive prizes in cash to the teams and outstanding individuals such as the Best Female Scorer Award, Best Women’s Football …
One surprising point in the GALA was that the sister who just returned from halfway around the world to her grand family also received an interesting gift from the organizers. Not managing hardships after the journey of reunification, Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong also went to battle with her brothers and sisters to win the run of 10 km. The unexpected gift is also the love of the organizers, the SCC family for her.
