The household of Mr. Le Trung Thieu is one of the most difficult and unhappy Agent Orange victim families in this poor village. In addition to the difficult family situation due to having to take care of the mentally ill children, the whole family of 6 now only lives on the meager state’s salary for the Agent Orange victims.

Mr. Le Trung Thieu used to join the military and was a victim of Agent Orange after the country was peaceful. He was married and had 5 children, but 3 of them had suffered from Agent Orange indirectly leading to mental illness and the other 2 children had intellectual disabilities. Too much pain for the soldier who contributed to the country. But his family still could not preserve all those poor 5 children. His family lost one child and currently has four remaining sons and daughters. The first son born a baby also suffered from intellectual disability until the 3rd generation. Thus, all 3 generations are affected by “orange pain”.

Visiting the difficult situation of Mr. Thieu’s family, the house of the family of 6 is a leaf-walled cottage, built temporarily and unsteadily on a sandy, hard and rugged ground. This is the house that Mr. Thieu was donated 15 years ago by the Warriors’ Association and his relatives bought it from an old house to repair. At present, Mr. Thieu’s house is seriously damaged by termites and is in danger of collapse during the rainy season.

In that situation, The Charity Club Warm With Love quickly conducted a technical survey and agreed to approve the documents to build a gratitude house to help Mr. Thieu’s house soon rebuild strongly to stabilize their life with the total estimated budget from the Club’s fund is over 100 million VND. The Groundbreaking Ceremony was conducted and took place on Friday morning, Oct 02nd, 2020 (Lunar Aug 16th). The estimated construction time is within 1 month.
