SCC RECEIVED CERTIFICATE OF GOLDEN HEART FOR THE VICTIMS OF AGENT ORANGE
On January 15th, 2020, in Hanoi, the representative of Saigon Construction Corporation (SCC) received a certificate of golden heart for sponsoring and supporting the program “New Year for Agent Orange Victims in Vietnam” of the second year.
Mr. Phan Ngoc Huy (rightmost) – Deputy Director of Project Management Department, representative of SCC, received a certificate of gratitude from the program of “New Year for Agent Orange Victims in Vietnam” of the second year.
“New Year for Agent Orange Victims in Vietnam” is a program organized by The Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) to supporting victims of chemical war caused by the United States. The war ended for nearly 45 years, but the loss and suffering are still remain as well as having extremely serious consequences for the environment and human health in Vietnam. Many Agent Orange victims and their families have been suffering physical pain and deadlock in poverty and disease.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, to help alleviate the pain of Agent Orange, from January 1st to 14th, VAVA along with the Vietnam Agent Orange/dioxin magazine and sponsors visited and presented Tet gifts worth over 1 billion VND (43,180 USD) to more than 1,200 victims across 22 cities and provinces nationwide.
With the spirit of “When drinking water, remember its source”, “The spirit of solidarity”, SCC has accompanied the program ” New Year for Agent Orange Victims in Vietnam ” of the second year, 2020, presented Tet gifts to the families of Agent Orange victims in Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang provinces.
This is the second consecutive time that SCC has joined hands to bring a warm Tet holiday to the families of Agent Orange victims as a share of their difficulties with the expectation that they will have a Tet full of love.
