“ẤM TÌNH YÊU THƯƠNG (WARM WITH LOVE)” VOLUNTEER CLUB GIVE 100 TẾT GIFTS TO POOR HOUSEHOLDS IN CAT LAI WARD

On January 20th (December 26th in Lunar Calendar) Ấm tình yêu thương Volunteer Club cooperated with the People’s Committee of Cat Lai Ward, District 2 to give 100 gifts to disadvantaged households in this area on Lunar New Year 2020 (year of Rat).

Responding to the Government’s call “The whole country joins hands for the poor – No one is left behind”, representatives of Volunteer Club together with People’s Committee of Cat Lai Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City visited and presented gifts to families in especially difficult circumstances in this Ward. At the same time, The Club also presented gifts to another poor households at the meeting hall of Cat Lai Ward People’s Committee.

Each gift worth 500,000 VND, including rice, noodles, cooking oil, fish sauce, sugar and 200,000 VND in cash, was deducted from the Volunteer Club’s fund which is donated by Saigon Construction Corporation (SCC) and its member. Hopefully, these small gifts will contribute to love sharing and support for people to welcome a joyful, warmer Lunar New Year.

Ấm tình yêu thương Volunteer Club regularly organizes charitable activities to share and help the poor families on Lunar New Year. These are extremely meaningful and practical activities. Because of that, in recent years, Ấm tình yêu thương Volunteer Club in particular and SCC Company in general, besides business activities, are always aware and actively show responsibility to the community and society through accompanying the locality and the whole country in social security and community development activities. For example, giving Tết gifts to the poor, Agent Orange victims, awarding scholarships for students who overcome difficulties to study well in remote areas, supporting to build schools in mountainous provinces, raising funds for the poor, etc.

Taking care of the poor is a regular activity of the Volunteer Club every spring

With this sharing, we hope to encourage and help those in difficult circumstances to rise up in life.
